His career began in the restaurant industry, where he spent nearly two decades with Applebee's, becoming one of the company's youngest General Managers and later moving into multi-unit leadership. He built a reputation for taking on challenging operations, developing people, and creating strong teams.

He later spent more than six years leading the food-service operation at a Tallahassee homeless shelter, where his team served 900 meals each day alongside countless community volunteers.

Bill founded Heart & Skill Connections, formerly Inclusion Cafe, which provides hands-on workforce and life-skills training for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program has helped dozens of trainees build skills, confidence, and pathways to employment.

Golf has been part of Bill's life since he played competitively growing up. He has helped build Special Olympics golf programs, coaches with First Tee, and leads the Florida High girls golf team, whose players have earned winning seasons, individual honors, and spots on college teams. He has also spent years serving the community through coaching, officiating, nonprofit leadership, volunteering, and mentoring.

At JCC, Bill is focused on honoring what has made the club special since 1964 while bringing energy, hospitality, events, attention to detail, and a strong sense of community.
